Chris Comer
SCADA & Automation Engineering Intern
Chris is a SCADA and Automation Engineering Intern from Naperville, IL. He is studying Electrical Engineering with an Emphasis in Power and Energy Systems at Colorado School of Mines. He is an outdoors enthusiast, enjoying snowboarding, climbing, hiking, and camping.

Maclean Donovan
Distribution Engineering Intern
Maclean is a Distribution Engineering intern from Dillon, CO. Right before this internship, she graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver where she studied Geography and Psychology. During her time at DU, Maclean had the opportunity to study abroad for an entire semester in Florence, Italy, and also took a two week long Geography course in Tanzania. Outside of school, Maclean enjoys skiing, hiking, traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with her two sisters.

Sophia Giglio
BESS Electrical Engineering Intern
At the time of this internship, Sophia was a BESS Electrical Engineering Intern from Wiesbaden, Germany going into her senior year at Colorado School of Mines. On campus she is a Resident Advisor, plays baritone saxophone for the concert, marching, pep, and jazz bands, and is on the executive board for the Mines student section of IEEE. Sophia also does undergraduate research and last year did a project titled “Energy Optimization of Supercapacitors and Solar Battery Energy Storage” for Mines Undergraduate Research Fellowship. She also is a Campus Student Ambassador, and a member of SWE and WEE (Women in Electrical Engineering)! Outside of school she likes to ski, read, hike, listen to music, hang out, and travel. By the end of this internship, she will have gone to New York, Germany, Sicily, and Peru!

Anna Beth Icke
Solar Electrical Engineering Intern
Anna Beth is a Solar Electrical Engineering intern from Monument, Colorado. She attends the University of Alabama where she is studying Electrical Engineering with minors in Communications Studies and Mathematics. On campus she serves as the Executive Council Liaison for the student chapter of SWE (Society of Women Engineers) and Vice President of the Crimson Cheer Club, a club team for competitive cheerleading. Anna Beth is also a member of Gamma Phi Beta international sorority as well as a member of Theta Tau professional engineering fraternity where she is the committee chair for Belonging and Wellness as well as the United Greek Council Chapter delegate. Outside of campus, Anna Beth likes watching sports, hiking, skiing, and pretty much any spontaneous adventure.

Joseph Lev-Tov
Power System Studies Engineering Intern
Joseph is a Power System Studies Engineering Intern from Boulder, CO. He will be entering his senior year at Colorado School of Mines at then end of this internship. On campus Joseph is a member of the Mines Swim team. Outside of school Joseph is a lover of outdoor activities including skiing, biking and hiking.

Ben McKenzie
Power System Studies Engineering Intern
Ben is a Power System Studies intern from Santa Cruz, California. He currently Minnesota State University – Mankato where he is studying Electrical Engineering as a part of the Iron Range Engineering Program. Ben will be graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree in December of 2025. In his free time, he enjoys reading and playing video games.

Josie Mejia
Renewable Civil Engineering Intern
Josie is a Renewable Civil Engineering intern from Gilbert, Arizona. She attends Colorado School of Mines where she is majoring in environmental engineering. She is a runner and competes on both the track and cross country teams at Mines. Outside of school Josie enjoys reading, watching movies and shows with friends, and anything art related.

Sophia Mulholland
Innovation Engineering Intern
Sophia is an innovation engineering intern from Colorado Springs, who is graduating from Colorado School of Mines in December 2025 with a degree in Computer Science. Outside of school she works at a Doggy Daycare and is a Capoeira instructor for a Capoeira club. At one point, Sophia lived in Greece volunteering and developing a site for the NGO she was working with.

Callen Nash
Innovation Engineering Intern
Callen is an Innovation Engineering Intern originally from Houston, Texas. She attends Colorado School of Mines (go Orediggers!) She graduated with her Bachelors two weeks before this internship with a Degree in Computer Science and will return at the of the summer to pursue a Master’s in Computer Science. Callen is a runner for Mines on the Cross Country and Track team! Outside of school, she enjoys paddleboarding, baking, reading and line dancing!

Ella Turken
Renewable Development Engineering Intern
Ella is a Renewable Development Intern from Centennial, Colorado. She attends Illinois State University where she is studying Sustainable and Renewable Energy, with a minor in economics. At school Ella is a member of the swim team and competes in Freestyle and Butterfly. In her free time she loves to travel, listen to audiobooks and spend time outdoors (pickleball, disc golf, outdoor swimming, you name it).

Charlie Wang
Utility Substation Engineering Intern
Charlie is a Utility Substation intern from Boulder, Colorado. He attends the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, where he is studying electrical engineering. On campus, Charlie is captain of the water polo club. Outside of school, he is a huge sports fan enjoys watching NFL and NBA games.
